The Warehouse Director will lead and oversee all warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and transportation of goods. This role is responsible for designing and implementing strategic improvements to optimize warehouse performance, reduce costs, and streamline logistics processes to support the company’s supply chain objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Warehouse Management:
- Lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple sites.
- Develop and implement warehouse strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control procedures.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, ensuring optimal efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Oversee staff management, training, and performance evaluation of warehouse teams.
Logistics & Distribution:
- Direct logistics planning, including inbound and outbound transportation.
- Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Oversee order fulfillment, dispatching, and last-mile delivery strategies.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods across local and international markets.
- Track and analyze logistics KPIs (delivery accuracy, lead time, freight cost, etc.).
Strategic Leadership:
- Set departmental goals and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage department budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
- Implement new technologies and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Knowledge , Skills , Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale warehouse and distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, and inventory control systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of local and international logistics regulations and compliance.
