As an Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer, you ensure electrical systems are tested, commissioned, and delivered to meet project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements, while coordinating with teams for smooth handover.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, execute, and supervise testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems, including HV/EHV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, generators, and SCADA systems.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and standards to ensure compliance during commissioning stages.
- Conduct functional, performance, and safety tests on installed electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during testing and commissioning.
- Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and as-built records for client submission.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems within power, utility, or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience with protection relays, substation equipment, and power distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of international standards and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) requirements
