As Senior Software Testing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise software solutions. The role requires strong hands-on experience across manual and automated testing, API validation, database testing, and performance testing. You will analyze business requirements, design effective test coverage, execute testing cycles, identify and track defects, and contribute to improving testing processes and product quality. You will also support automation initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with development, business, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Key Accountabilities
- Analyze and understand business and functional requirements, identifying testing needs, risks, and potential gaps in requirements.
- Design, document, review, and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to ensure adequate test coverage across business flows.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Review and work with project and testing documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, test plans, test cases, test reports, and UAT documents.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar tools, validating requests, responses, status codes, authentication, and business flows.
- Develop, maintain, and execute reusable test automation scripts using Playwright, focusing on regression and end-to-end test coverage.
- Perform performance testing using tools such as Apache JMeter and/or Locust, including load, stress, and spike testing.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and communicate findings and recommendations to relevant technical teams.
- Perform SQL and database validation, including data integrity checks and verification of application behavior against expected database results; experience with MySQL is preferred.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
- Manage defect lifecycles using Jira or similar bug-tracking tools, ensuring effective communication and follow-up through resolution and retesting.
- Use test-management tools such as Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms to organize and track testing activities.
- Apply Generative AI and AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or Claude to support test case generation, requirement analysis, automation development, documentation, and defect investigation.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies, quality standards, test coverage, and overall QA processes.
- Support and guide junior testers, sharing technical knowledge and promoting consistent testing practices.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support CI/CD and Git-based workflows as part of the testing and release process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technology discipline.
- At least 3.5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including both manual testing and test automation.
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC), software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Proven experience designing and executing test scenarios and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Practical experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools, including validation of requests, responses, status codes, authentication, and business flows.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright test automation, including creating and maintaining reusable scripts for regression and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with performance testing using Apache JMeter and/or Locust, with an understanding of load, stress, and spike testing and performance result analysis.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation; experience with MySQL is preferred.
- Experience identifying, reproducing, documenting, and tracking software defects using Jira or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Familiarity with test-management tools such as Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Experience using Generative AI or AI-assisted testing and development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand business workflows, identify testing risks, design effective test coverage, and contribute to overall product quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate testing findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other enterprise application environments is an advantage
