A leading company in the FMCG industry in Egypt, specializing in both Eastern and Western sweets, known for their quality and freshness, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and customer satisfaction, it has become one of Cairo's most famous bakeries, is looking for a Senior Prucurement Spcialest.
Job Context: The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of raw materials (e.g., flour, sugar, dairy products, packaging materials) required for production.
Key Accountabitlities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ensuring the selection of the best quality materials at competitive prices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements.
- Place and track orders for raw materials, managing inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Continuously monitor raw material costs and recommend strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all raw materials meet required standards and specifications.
- Stay informed on market trends, material innovations, and supply chain dynamics that may affect procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, and generate reports on supplier performance, material costs, and other key metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or similar field.
- 4-6 years of experience in procurement (Raw Materials is a must). Oil, sugar, ghee, butter, flour
- Experience in FMCG industry is preferred.
- Strong ability to secure the best terms with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze cost structures and market data.
- Building effective partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Excel.
