The Senior PHP Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems while ensuring seamless integration with various components. You will collaborate with stakeholders, front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions. The role involves troubleshooting and debugging to ensure system reliability and performance, staying updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements, and mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP, adhering to best practices and clean coding standards.
- Implement APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance application functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and development roadmaps.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Optimize backend systems for performance and scalability, ensuring robust and efficient systems.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Manage and monitor the deployment pipeline to ensure smooth and reliable releases.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in PHP backend development with proven expertise in frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and MVC architecture principles.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database optimization techniques.
- Experience with RESTful API design, integration, and version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills with the ability to debug and optimize backend systems effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration and mentoring junior developers.
- Self-motivated and passionate about continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
