The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across LAN, WAN, MPLS, satellite/VSAT, wireless, and mobility environments. The role requires a highly experienced network professional capable of managing complex network operations, troubleshooting critical incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing technical guidance in a fast-paced technology solutions environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring network availability, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, QoS, OSPF, and BGP across enterprise network environments.
- Deploy, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite/VSAT, wireless, and mobility network services.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN, access control, and network security requirements.
- Monitor network availability and performance, identify potential issues, and resolve complex routing, switching, firewall, WAN, and connectivity incidents.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and high-availability solutions while minimizing operational disruption.
- Coordinate with service providers, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and application teams to ensure effective network delivery, integration, and issue resolution.
- Lead critical network incidents and provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, inventories, technical documentation, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and support to junior network engineers and technicians to enhance team capabilities and operational performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, preferably within a large-scale technology or enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, MPLS, satellite/VSAT, wireless, and mobility networks.
- Solid experience with Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise networking platforms.
- Strong knowledge of MPLS, WAN, VPN, VLAN, QoS, OSPF, and BGP.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, including network security, policies, NAT, VPN, and access control.
- Strong understanding of network monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Experience in network upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and high-availability solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, switching, firewall, WAN, and connectivity issues.
- Strong experience coordinating with service providers and cross-functional infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and application teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory; relevant Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, wireless, or network security certifications are an advantage.
