The Senior Fit-Out Architectural Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all fit-out and architectural works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and client requirements, while managing site coordination, inspections, material approvals, and execution activities to ensure high-quality finishes and successful project delivery.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Inspect all fit-out and architectural works on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, material standards, and quality requirements .
- Carry out inspections for fit-out activities including partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, furniture, and decorative works during execution and handover stages.
- Verify materials delivered on site against approved material submittals, mock-ups, and project requirements.
- Review and ensure compliance of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers during inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure proper execution of finishing works in line with approved quality standards and project schedules.
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, snag lists, and project documentation.
- Support final inspections, snagging, testing, and handover activities to ensure successful project completion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in in fit-out and architectural projects (mandatory).
- Proven experience in high-end hospitality, commercial, retail, and residential fit-out projects.
- Strong experience in managing and supervising site execution of architectural and fit-out works.
- Excellent knowledge of fit-out materials, interior finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, wall cladding, and decorative works.
- Strong understanding of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and project specifications.
- Experience in QA/QC inspections, snagging, handover, and coordination with consultants and subcontractors.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with MEP, procurement, design, and project management teams .
- Good knowledge of international standards, fit-out practices, and health & safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools.
- Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
