The Risk Team Leader Engineer is responsible for leading the risk management function across multiple construction projects, with a focus on residential and hospitality developments. The role ensures proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of project risks to safeguard cost, time, quality, and safety objectives. The position also drives risk governance, reporting, and coordination with project, commercial, and planning teams.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- ead the development and implementation of the project risk management framework across all assigned projects.
- Identify, assess, and evaluate risks related to cost overruns, delays, design changes, procurement, and site execution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk registers for each project.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analysis (schedule risk analysis, cost risk analysis).
- Coordinate with planning, commercial, construction, and HSE teams to ensure mitigation plans are implemented.
- Monitor high-risk activities in residential and hospitality construction projects.
- Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management and project directors.
- Lead risk review meetings and workshops with stakeholders and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk-related clauses.
- Support claims analysis and dispute avoidance through early risk identification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Construction Management or related field
- 8–12+ years of experience in construction risk management, project controls, or related discipline.
- Proven track record in residential and hospitality construction projects (mandatory).
- Experience working with large-scale contractors, developers, or EPC environments.
- Exposure to managing risk across multiple concurrent projects / portfolios is highly preferred.
- Hands-on involvement in project lifecycle stages (design, procurement, construction, handover).
- Experience supporting claims avoidance and contractual risk management is an advantage.
