The QA/QC – Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works are executed in full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards, while maintaining effective quality control throughout all project phases to ensure successful delivery.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Ensure all Mechanical works are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems to ensure quality compliance.
- Review and verify material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings related to mechanical works.
- Carry out inspections, testing, and commissioning (T&C) activities for mechanical systems.
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformance (NCR) and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and subcontractor teams to resolve site quality issues.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly QA/QC reports and maintain all quality documentation for project records and handover.
- Support project close-out activities including final inspections, snagging, and handover documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC for construction projects (mandatory).
- Proven experience in residential and hospitality projects (essential).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ASTM, ISO).
- Experience in inspections, testing, and commissioning (T&C) processes.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements.
- Good coordination and communication skills with site teams and consultants.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities
- Attention to detail and strong technical reporting skills.
