This position will be based at the company’s Cairo office, supporting strategic hiring initiatives across regional operations.

As a Planning Senior Engineer you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of real estate projects. The role ensures alignment between project objectives, resources, contractual requirements, and actual site performance through effective planning, progress tracking, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Accountabilities 

The position involves: 

  • Develop comprehensive project master schedules covering concept design, detailed design, permitting, procurement, construction, fit-out, sales/leasing, and handover.
  • Align schedules with business plans, financial models, and development strategies.
  • Track progress across consultants, contractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal teams.
  • Update schedules regularly and prepare variance analysis for delays or deviations.
  • Monitor contractor baseline and updated schedules against approved master schedule.
  • Validate contractor progress reports, cash flows, and manpower histograms.
  • Review and comment on contractor extension-of-time (EOT) requests and recovery plans.                           Provide schedule input for management presentations, business updates, and board meetings.
  • Support PMO in consolidating multi-project dashboards for the entire portfolio.
  • Support the finance team with schedule-based cash flow forecasts and payment projections.
  • Provide planning input for feasibility studies and financial models.
  • Ensure schedule risks are reflected in business plans and development strategies    
  • Track completion certificates and final authority approvals

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of planning experience, preferably in construction or real estate field.       
  • Strong background in project planning, construction methods, project controls, and engineering management
  • Advanced in Primavera P6 Professional scheduling 
  • Excel Advanced / Power BI / Data Analytics certifications (for dashboard reporting).   
  • Delay analysis and EOT assessments.
  • Navisworks for BIM 4D schedule simulation.
  • Fluency in Arabic and very good command in English
