Job Context: working as Planning Engineer to oversee scheduling and planning for Electrical Power Substation Projects in the construction industry. The role involves managing project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery, and coordinating with various teams to maintain progress.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) using tools like Primavera P6.
- Act as a subject matter expert on construction site activities, providing technical support.
- Offer technical expertise in planning, scheduling, procurement, and design for Electrical Substation Projects.
- Develop comprehensive Level 6 Master Schedules for the entire program.
- Direct the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems to help project teams assess and improve project execution efficiency.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules for substation construction projects.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Coordinate with project teams (engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Identify potential delays and risks, and propose solutions.
- Manage change orders and update project schedules accordingly.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, specifications, and standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Power Substation Projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, Primavera P6, and Primavera Unifier.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with international standards and regulations related to power substations.
