This position will be based at the company’s Cairo office, supporting payroll operations for employees across regional projects.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring compliance with Egyptian labor and tax regulations, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing essential support to HR and Finance teams. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Accountabilities 

The position involves: 

  • Managing end-to-end monthly payroll processing for medium to large employee groups.
  • Accurately calculating salaries, overtime, deductions, allowances, incentives, and final settlements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Egyptian Labor Law, Social Insurance Law, and Income Tax regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting Social Insurance Forms (1, 2) and monthly contributions.
  • Updating payroll data related to new hires, transfers, promotions, resignations, and leaves.
  • Coordinating closely with HR teams to validate attendance, leave balances, and employee records.
  • Generating payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
  • Resolving employee payroll inquiries with a customer-focused and confidential approach.
  • Supporting external and internal audits by providing accurate payroll documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience. 

  • 3–6 years of payroll experience, ideally within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of Egyptian labor laws, social insurance, and income tax computations.
  • Experience working with HR and payroll systems such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Passion for operational excellence and supporting large-scale, high-impact projects in Egypt and the GCC.
