As Operations Manager, you will oversee and connect three core operational functions: Gallery Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse Management. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between these departments, improving operational efficiency, maintaining service quality, and ensuring that products move smoothly from receiving and storage through delivery and customer fulfillment.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gallery, Logistics, and Warehouse departments.
- Ensure effective coordination, communication, and workflow between all three operational functions.
- Manage the complete operational cycle from product receiving and storage to gallery availability, order preparation, delivery, and customer fulfillment.
- Ensure that gallery requirements are aligned with warehouse stock availability and logistics schedules.
- Oversee warehouse activities including receiving, storage, stock movement, order preparation, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Manage logistics operations including delivery planning, transportation scheduling, installation coordination, and order tracking.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of customer orders and deliveries.
- Monitor stock availability, inventory accuracy, and product movement across the operation.
- Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, workflows, and controls.
- Establish and monitor key operational KPIs including delivery performance, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, productivity, and service quality.
- Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other relevant departments to support business requirements.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, transportation partners, installers, and other operational vendors where applicable.
- Ensure effective handling of operational issues, delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, and customer-related concerns.
- Lead, coach, and monitor the performance of gallery operations, logistics, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, health and safety requirements, and inventory control procedures.
- Prepare regular operational reports and provide management with updates on performance, risks, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are looking for:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in operations management.
- Previous experience within the same or a closely related industry is mandatory, preferably luxury furniture, furniture retail, home furnishings, interior solutions, FF&E, or a similar showroom-based environment.
- Proven experience overseeing or coordinating multiple operational functions.
- Strong experience in gallery or showroom operations, logistics, warehouse management, and inventory control.
- Solid understanding of order fulfillment, stock movement, delivery coordination, and customer service operations.
- Demonstrated experience improving operational processes and driving efficiency.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing operational KPIs, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, warehouse management, or related operational systems is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
