The OHTL Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects. This role is responsible for managing resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with client and organizational goals.
- Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide mentorship to team members.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Resolve issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Track project progress and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, costs, and risks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in OHTL project management, including leadership roles.
- Strong financial and resource management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic environment.
