As a Mechanical Technical Manager, you will lead the mechanical inspection function and ensure the highest levels of technical accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. You will oversee inspection teams, validate technical reports, approve inspection plans, and act as the key technical reference for clients and internal stakeholders. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, ensure alignment with mechanical codes and standards, and reinforce the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and validate mechanical inspection reports to ensure full compliance with technical standards and procedures.
- Lead and supervise field inspectors, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to approved formats.
- Coordinate with Quality & Technical Management to update inspection procedures and technical guidelines.
- Approve inspection plans and ensure they are appropriate to project scope and requirements.
- Support team development through performance evaluation and identifying training needs.
- Ensure inspection tools are properly maintained and meet quality standards.
- Enforce mechanical safety protocols during field operations.
- Serve as the department’s technical authority for client inquiries.
- Conduct and assess inspections of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, insulation, supply systems, etc.) and evaluate overall performance.
- Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) for planning and technical analysis.
- Develop project schedules for major initiatives.
- Deliver training on inspection methods and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8 years of professional experience in construction or contracting, preferably in inspection and technical supervision roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, sanitary, and HVAC systems, including understanding of inspection tools, international engineering standards, and Saudi Building Code requirements.
- Skilled in site inspection, technical data analysis, report validation, and interpreting engineering drawings, with the ability to utilize software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong leadership, supervision, and team development capabilities, with proven experience in evaluating performance, identifying training needs, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
- Proficient in communication, teamwork, technical decision-making, and time management, demonstrating high integrity, organization, and commitment to meeting project timelines.
- Dedicated to continuous development, actively engages in technical training, and contributes to improving procedures and inspection methodologies.
