The Mechanical Construction Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical construction activities across project sites, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The role involves close coordination with technical teams, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams to support successful project execution across all construction phases.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Supervise daily mechanical construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved mechanical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architectural, civil, electrical, MEP, technical, and planning teams to ensure smooth project execution and proper work sequencing.
- Monitor site progress, manpower productivity, subcontractor performance, and material availability.
- Ensure mechanical works are carried out according to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Review and report site progress, technical issues, and construction challenges to project management.
- Assist in resolving technical and site-related mechanical issues to maintain construction progress targets.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, foremen, and mechanical site workforce during project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and authority requirements.
- Support project planning activities, work coordination, and construction sequencing.
- Monitor material usage and ensure proper handling, installation, and control of mechanical site resources.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain proper documentation of site activities.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and project close-out activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mechanical construction and site supervision within large-scale construction projects.
- Previous experience in residential, hospitality, and/or mixed-use projects is preferred.
- Strong background in mechanical installation, site execution, and subcontractor coordination.
- Experience working with main contractors or construction companies in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting), construction methods, site operations, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and construction coordination processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction reporting tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced project environments and manage multiple site activities.
- Good reporting and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
