As a Leak Detection Specialist, you will be responsible for detecting and locating leaks in water pipelines using specialized equipment and methods. This role requires hands-on experience in fieldwork, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical procedures to support the maintenance and sustainability of water infrastructure systems
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Conduct field inspections and use advanced leak detection equipment (such as acoustic sensors, correlators, or ground microphones) to locate water leaks.
- Perform routine checks, surveys, and monitoring of water distribution systems.
- Record and document findings, including location, type, and severity of leaks.
- Coordinate with maintenance and repair teams to resolve identified leaks.
- Follow safety standards and operational guidelines during all site activities.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and keeping accurate records of inspections.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and relevant departments regarding findings and progress.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Education level: High school certificate or higher.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in leak detection within water networks.
- Familiarity with leak detection technologies and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand basic pipeline schematics and maps.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency in using handheld devices and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in outdoor conditions.
