As a Health and Safety Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by applying health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety protocols within industrial service operations.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Monitor and enforce occupational health and safety standards across all operational areas.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Implement and oversee fire safety systems and emergency response plans.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and codes.
- Utilize PF technology to assess and ensure the effectiveness of personal protective equipment.
- Develop safety training programs and conduct workshops for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and provide corrective and preventive action plans.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate FLS (Fire Life Safety) systems into facility designs.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety drills, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Continuously evaluate and improve safety policies to align with best practices and technological advancements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or Fire Fighting Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within industrial or engineering environments.
- Strong background in PF (Personal Fall) technology and its applications in safety operations.
- Proven experience in Fire Fighting Engineering systems and emergency response planning.
- Solid understanding of FLS (Fire Life Safety) standards and implementation.
- Familiarity with local and international HSE laws and regulations.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, audits, and investigations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for safety training and coordination.
- Ability to work in high-risk environments and manage multiple safety priorities.
- Certification in occupational safety (such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is a plus.
