The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the company. This role requires strategic leadership to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. The GM will oversee multiple departments, manage day-to-day operations, and work closely with senior management to align business objectives with company goals.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company's short-term and long-term goals.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations across all departments, including distribution, marketing, sales, finance, and human resources.
- Manage the company’s budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure profitability by optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and employees to maintain a high-performance culture, ensure efficient workflow, and promote collaboration across departments.
- Identify new market opportunities, foster relationships with clients and partners, and lead efforts to expand the company’s market share.
- Ensure the company complies with legal regulations and internal policies while managing risks associated with operations and market changes.
- Set performance metrics, analyze business reports, and track KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, board members, and key external stakeholders, providing regular updates on business performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in retail industry, including market trends, competitive analysis, and customer needs.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably as a General Manager or in a related executive position.
- Proven experience in leading diverse teams, driving change, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Strong financial and operational management skills, with the ability to interpret financial reports, manage budgets, and drive profitability.
- Ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with company goals and market demands.
