As the E-Commerce Director, you will be responsible for leading the organization’s e-commerce strategy, online sales growth, digital customer experience, and marketplace performance. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, optimizing digital channels, enhancing conversion, and ensuring operational excellence across the e-commerce ecosystem.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement the organization’s e-commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, growth targets, and digital priorities.
- Lead and optimize all online sales channels, including website, mobile app, marketplaces, and omnichannel commerce platforms.
- Drive revenue growth through performance marketing, merchandising, pricing strategy, and conversion optimization initiatives.
- Oversee website performance, user experience, customer journey, and digital trading activities to maximize sales and retention.
- Manage e-commerce operations including order fulfillment coordination, inventory availability, returns processes, and customer service alignment.
- Monitor and analyze commercial KPIs, including traffic, conversion, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and lifetime value, providing actionable recommendations.
- Lead marketplace strategy and relationships with external platforms, partners, and digital vendors.
- Collaborate with technology, supply chain, marketing, and commercial teams to enhance platform capabilities and support scalable growth.
- Establish policies, standards, and processes that ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Digital Commerce, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce, or online retail, including leadership experience.
- Proven track record in scaling online sales, managing digital channels, and driving profitable growth.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, omnichannel ecosystems, and digital customer experience.
- Experience with performance marketing, CRM, analytics tools, and e-commerce technologies.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in online merchandising, pricing, promotions, and conversion optimization.
