As a Design Manager in the real estate industry, you oversee architectural and engineering designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You ensure compliance with industry standards, optimize functionality and aesthetics, and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to achieve project goals.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Lead and manage the design process for real estate projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure designs align with project requirements, budgets, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver high-quality designs.
- Review and approve design plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage design timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Oversee compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams to resolve design-related challenges.
- Stay updated on market trends, innovative design solutions, and new materials.
- Develop and implement design strategies to enhance project value and appeal.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in architectural or design management within real estate.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM tools.
- Experience in project management and team coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines and budgets.
