Work Location: Cairo, Egypt. 

As a Cost and Inventory Unit Manager, you will oversee our organization's cost management and inventory control processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, inventory control, and strategic planning, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Prepare and review cost reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop cost forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the organization's inventory management processes, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations, addressing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Utilize inventory management software and systems to streamline operations and enhance data accuracy.
  • Participate in the development of long-term strategic plans, providing insights and recommendations on cost management and inventory control.
  • Align cost and inventory strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring consistency and coherence.
  • Support cross-functional teams in executing strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Lead and develop a team of cost and inventory professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads and stakeholders to gather input, share insights, and drive alignment.
  • Provide training and support to team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge in cost management and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to cost and inventory management.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, variances, and actionable insights.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess adherence to cost and inventory guidelines and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • More than 10 years of experience in cost management and inventory control roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles, inventory control processes, and strategic planning concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and inventory management software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
