As a Contracts Manager you will manage risk registers, commercial negotiations, contract amendments, and support technical departments. It requires preparing RFPs, analyzing contracts, and coordinating with finance for billing. Ideal candidates have experience in construction contract management, strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a variety of contracts related to construction projects, including joint ventures.
  • Manage and oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closure, including monitoring compliance and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate across departments, including legal, financial, and project management teams, to ensure contracts are aligned with corporate goals and strategies.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues in contracts, suggesting and implementing effective solutions.
  • Resolve conflicts and handle disputes related to contracts, including those arising in joint ventures.
  • Maintain detailed records of contracts, ensuring they are current and compliant with the laws and regulations.
  • Update senior management regularly on the status of contracts and advise on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Stay informed on the latest laws and regulations that impact contractual agreements and company operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification in Contract Management or a related discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, particularly within the construction industry.
  • Extensive experience managing contracts for joint ventures and other complex construction agreements.
  • Deep understanding of laws and regulations related to construction in Saudi Arabia, including those governing joint ventures.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • High proficiency in contract management software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
