As the Commercial Head, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and maximize profitability. You will lead the commercial function across business development, sales, strategic partnerships, key account management, and commercial operations while ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Develop and execute the organization's commercial strategy to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging market trends within the FinTech, Telecommunications, or IT sectors.
- Lead and manage the sales, business development, and account management teams to achieve commercial targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, strategic partners, and key stakeholders.
- Develop commercial plans, pricing strategies, and go-to-market initiatives for new and existing products and services.
- Negotiate high-value commercial agreements, partnerships, and enterprise contracts.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue optimization initiatives.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts through executive dashboards and performance reports.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches and commercial execution.
- Establish commercial KPIs and performance metrics to monitor business performance and ensure accountability across the commercial function.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning activities to support business objectives.
- Ensure effective CRM utilization, sales reporting, and pipeline management through digital tools and business intelligence platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial processes, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Represent the organization during executive meetings, industry events, strategic negotiations, and client engagements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, contractual obligations, and commercial policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management, business development, sales leadership, or strategic partnerships.
- Previous experience within FinTech, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Digital Services, SaaS, Payments, Banking Technology, or Technology Solutions is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving significant revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading high-performing commercial teams.
- Strong experience in enterprise sales, B2B business development, key account management, and strategic partnership development.
- Experience in developing commercial strategies, pricing models, sales forecasting, and go-to-market planning.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, technology solutions, cloud services, SaaS, fintech products, or telecommunications services.
- Experience using CRM platforms (such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar) and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced financial analysis, budgeting, and revenue forecasting capabilities.
- Professional certifications in Sales Leadership, Strategic Management, Project Management (PMP), Commercial Excellence, or related disciplines are considered an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking, strategic planning, communication, and presentation skills.
