As a Commercial Director , you will lead the full commercial strategy and execution across large-scale infrastructure and telecom projects including 5G rollout, wireless/non-wireless network solutions, fiber optic/cables, and data center development.
They own revenue growth, contract governance, pricing, commercial risk, and client relationship management, ensuring profitable, competitive, and compliant commercial operations.
Technical/engineering understanding is highly preferred due to the complexity of solutions offered.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy in line with long-term business goals for telecom and infra solutions.
- Own full P&L, revenue forecasting, and margin optimization.
- Identify new markets (5G operators, government entities, ICT integrators, data center developers).
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with MNOs, ISPs, contractors, and enterprise clients.
- Build strategic alliances with vendors, technology partners, and subcontractors (wireless, fiber, civil, MEP).
- Expand client portfolio in infrastructure, telecom, and data center sectors
- Oversee commercial proposals, pricing models, and cost structures for infra/5G/data center projects.
- Ensure technical alignment between engineering scopes and commercial terms.
- Lead tender reviews, bid defense meetings, and contract clarifications.
- Lead contract negotiation (FIDIC, EPC, turnkey, SLAs, managed services).
- Mitigate commercial, legal, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, telecom operator standards, and data center Tier/ISO requirements.
- Track telecom infrastructure trends (5G densification, fiber-to-site, edge DC demand).
- Benchmark competitors, pricing, and new technologies.
- Drive new revenue streams in data centers, IoT platforms, and fiber backbone solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecom, Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or related) is preferable
- Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial, business development, or contract roles.
- Solid understanding of:
- 5G RAN & transmission solutions
- Fiber optic networks, OSP/ISP, cables, ducts
- Data center design & Tier standards
- Power, cooling, civil, and MEP interfaces
- Strong commercial structuring and contract drafting skills.
- Proven success handling mega-project bids and commercial negotiations.
- Strong financial modeling, pricing, and P&L ownership.
- Executive-level communication and negotiation.
- Strategic thinker with analytical mindset.
- Leadership that inspires teams and builds credibility with technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, tech-driven environments.
