The Architectural Design Manager is responsible for leading and managing all architectural design activities within the Technical Department, ensuring full coordination between consultants, multidisciplinary engineering teams, and project stakeholders. The role involves overseeing design development, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and driving design quality, integration, and timely delivery across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
- Lead and manage architectural design activities across multiple projects within the Technical Department.
- Oversee the development, review, and approval of architectural drawings, design packages, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with consultants, MEP, structural, and site teams to ensure fully integrated design delivery.
- Ensure design compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and company standards.
- Manage design coordination processes and resolve technical design conflicts across disciplines.
- Monitor design progress and ensure timely delivery of all design milestones and submissions.
- Review and validate design changes, revisions, and technical proposals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in technical meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of design objectives.
- Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design quality and project requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and control of all design-related information and approvals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in architectural design and design management.
- Previous experience in residential, hospitality, and/or healthcare projects is required.
- Strong background in design coordination and multidisciplinary project integration.
- Experience working within technical departments in construction or engineering organizations.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, design standards, and authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design tools.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
