The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and accounting operations across construction and real estate projects. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, solid industry experience, and the ability to support management with accurate financial analysis and reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, financial transactions, and month-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual Trial Balances and Financial Statements in alignment with IFRS.
- Manage accounting activities related to construction projects, real estate developments, project costs, revenues, and expenses.
- Monitor project financials, cost allocations, accruals, advances, subcontractor payments, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, WHT, Zakat, and other tax-related requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely reporting.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
- Develop management reports and financial dashboards to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure strong internal controls across all accounting and financial transactions.
- Provide recommendations for process improvement, cost control, and financial performance enhancement.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, contracts, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with solid experience in the construction and real estate industry.
- Previous experience in an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong experience in project accounting, cost control, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Experience in VAT, WHT, Zakat, and Saudi tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle ERP is a plus.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, spoken and written.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and support strategic financial decision-making.
